Calhoun County, TX – One Killed, One Injured in Fatal Wreck on US Hwy 35

Calhoun County, TX (September 14, 2020) – An auto accident took the life of one person and injured another this past Friday on in Calhoun County. 

The head-on collision occurred on US Highway 35 at a bridge that overpasses the Victoria Barge Canal. The wreck involved two vehicles and two female drivers who have yet to be identified. 

One driver was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision and the other was airlifted to San Antonio Medical Center for the treatment of life-threatening injuries. There is no current word on her condition at this time. 

The contributing factors of the crash are currently being determined by local law enforcement officials at this time. 

According to the accident report, one vehicle was headed south and the other north. The two vehicles collided for reasons still being investigated by local police. 

No further information has been provided at this time, and neither women involved in the crash have been publicly identified.
