Corpus Christi, TX – 18-Wheeler Crash Involving Train Ends in Injuries near Hwy 77
Corpus Christi, TX (May 1, 2023) – Several law enforcement and EMS officials were dispatched to the scene of a train crash involving a semi-truck on Wednesday, April 26. Sources report the wreck occurred on US Highway 77 north of the Hilcorp gate.
The semi-truck driver was ejected from the vehicle due to the collision. The man lost his life as a result of his injuries. A southbound lane of Highway 77 was closed while crews worked to clear the wreckage from the road.
The cause of the accident remains under police investigation at this time. No further details have been reported.
