Corpus Christi, TX – 3-Year-Old Girl Killed in Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on Hwy 77 near Valero Gas Station

Corpus Christi, TX (November 28, 2022) – A fatal two-vehicle accident took the life of a 3-year-old girl in Corpus Christi. The accident is currently being investigated by the Texas Department of Public Safety. 

DPS officials stated in a release, the wreck occurred on November 21 at around 11:00 a.m. A silver Hyundai Tucson was exiting the parking lot of the Valero gas station and attempting to turn north onto Highway 77. According to information from the release, the Hyundai attempted to drive across the southbound lane when its rear driver side was struck by a gray Nissan Quest headed south. 

The collision forced the Hyundai to travel airborne and spin about three times before stopping. When it came to a final stop, it was facing east on the northbound shoulder of Highway 77. The 3-year-old girl was a passenger inside the Hyundai at the time of the accident. 

Paramedics rushed the young victim a local area hospital due to injuries she sustained in the collision. From there, she was transferred to Driscoll Children’s Hospital. She lost her life approximately 24 hours later. 

No information was released concerning any other injuries sustained in the accident.
