Corpus Christi, TX – Bicyclist Fatally Struck by Vehicle on S Staples St near Snappy’s Food

Corpus Christi, TX (August 21, 2023) – A bicyclist suffered fatal injuries in a collision on Sunday night, August 20, in Corpus Christi. Responders went to the scene of the collision at around 10:42 p.m. 

According to information provided by police, responders were dispatched to the scene located in the 7100 block of South Staples Street near Snappy’s Food. When officers arrived, they found a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle while riding a bike. 

Police located the cyclist and immediately began first aid. The injured man was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. He has not been identified at this time. 

Authorities in Corpus Christi continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
