Corpus Christi, TX – Head-on Collision Takes One Life on Hwy 361 near Cinnamon Shores

Corpus Christi, TX (June 20, 2022) – A head-on collision happened in Corpus Christi on Thursday, June 16. According to information provided by officials, one person lost their life in the wreck. 

Responders were sent to a portion of Highway 361 near Cinnamon Shores where the accident happened. An undisclosed number of passengers who were involved in the collision needed to be extricated from their vehicles. 

The names of those involved have not been released at this time. Police in Corpus Christi continue to investigate the details of the accident. 

The Corpus Christi Fire Department along with the Port Aransas Fire Department and other responders were seen assisting at the crash scene. Traffic was delayed in the vicinity of the crash site while responders worked to secure the area. 

We would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased victim at this time. 

No further information has been reported concerning the crash or its circumstances.
