Corpus Christi, TX – Police Respond to Injury Accident on SH-358 near Ayers St

Corpus Christi, TX (November 8, 2021) – A traffic accident caused injuries on a roadway in Corpus Christi on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 3. Just before 11:00 a.m, various responders were sent to assist at the scene. 

Reports indicate that the collision took place between two vehicles near the intersection of State Highway 358 and Ayers Street. A 2003 tan Chevrolet and a 2010 gray Dodge were involved in the crash. Police stated that the Chevrolet ran a stop sign and caused the collision. 

Three people present in the Dodge sustained injuries due to the wreck. The driver of the Chevrolet was not injured. At this time, the involved parties have not been identified. 

Emergency medical technicians rendered aid to the injured parties at the scene. At least one person required transportation to a local hospital for treatment. 

Traffic was backed up in the area for some time on the morning of November 3 while crews were present on the road. Local motorists were urged to find different travel routes while the crash scene was active with responders. 

At this time, nothing further has been reported.
