Corpus Christi, TX – Three-Vehicle Accident Leaves 1 Injured on I-37 near Southern Tire Mart

Corpus Christi, TX (February 28, 2022) – An accident involving three vehicles occurred on Monday, February 21 at approximately 5:45 p.m. in Corpus Christi. Injuries were reported as a result. 

Sources say the wreck occurred on Interstate 37 near the Southern Tire Mart when a driver backed up their vehicle without checking behind them. One person sustained injuries and required emergency care at the scene. 

The injured victim was treated at the accident site before being transported to an area hospital for further care. At this time, authorities are investigating the circumstances of the wreck. 

Traffic was delayed in the area while crews worked to secure the scene. Corpus Christi Police, paramedics, and firefighters were observed at the crash site.
