Corpus Christi, TX – Two-Car Accident Causes Injuries on I-37

Corpus Christi, TX (March 14, 2021) – Police and emergency personnel in Corpus Christi were dispatched to the scene of an auto accident that resulted in injuries on Tuesday, March 9. Sources indicate that the wreck happened on Interstate 37 in Nueces at around 11:15 a.m. 

Reports concerning the collision state that the incident took place between two vehicles, a 2003 black Chevrolet and a 2018 silver Mazda. The factors contributing to the cause of the crash have not been currently reported. 

Injuries were sustained in the accident. A passenger in the Mazda, identified as a 58-year-old male, was hurt in the crash. The names of those involved have not been released at this time. 

Officers with the Corpus Christi police department and members of the Corpus Christi fire and rescue team were present at the scene for some time after the wreck occurred. The presence of first responders on the road caused traffic delays in the area.
