Odessa, TX – Double Pedestrian Fatality on Dixie Blvd

Odessa, TX (August 27, 2020) – Two residents of Odessa were killed in an early morning pedestrian accident on Monday, August 25th in the Sherwood Park area.

As stated in a report published by a local news source, local law enforcement officers from Odessa reported to the crash site at the intersection of 46th Street and Dixie Boulevard at around 7:00 a.m. after receiving calls reporting a major accident in the area.

Initial reports indicate that a black Chevrolet pick-up truck was driving northbound along the 4600 block of North Dixie Boulevard when it struck two pedestrians. 

The victims have since been identified as 20-year-old Analicia Uballe Franco and 20-year-old Jadrien Josiah Rivera, both residents of Odessa. The pair were walking together in the outermost lane of the 4600 block of North Dixie Boulevard, not inside of a crosswalk.

Both of the injured parties were transported via ambulance to a local medical facility but were pronounced dead a short while later. 

Local law enforcement officers are conducting a professional inquiry into the incident in order to determine cause and liability.
