San Antonio, TX (October 14, 2020) – Officials have identified the pedestrian who was killed after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a street on the southwest side of San Antonio on Tuesday, October 13th as 63-year-old Alberto Cruz Herminia.
Officers from the San Antonio Police Department stated that the accident took place at the intersection of South Zarzamora Street and West Mayfield Boulevard when a pedestrian crossing South Zarzamora Street was hit by a woman in the outside lane.
Emergency medical personnel administered life-saving treatment to the victim, but he was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
As indicated in police logs, the woman stated that she did not see Herminia crossing the street. She did pull over and remain at the scene until the police arrived.
This accident is still under investigation.
