San Antonio, TX – Carlye Donaldson Killed in Crash Near McQueeney Rd

San Antonio, TX (December 31, 2020) – Police have identified the man who died during a car accident that might have been the result of a combination of drugs, alcohol, and speeding.

47-year-old Carlye James Donaldson, 47, a resident of San Antonio, was killed in the collision that took place at about 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29th at the intersection of McQueeney Road and South Business Interstate 35.

Donaldson lost control of the Ford Explorer he was driving, causing it to flip and throw him from the vehicle. He died en route to a local hospital.   

The three passengers in the Explorer, a 47-year-old woman from Lubbock, a 41-year old man from San Antonio, and a 36-year old woman from Cibolo, were all transported via ambulances to area hospitals.

The woman from Lubbock sustained severe injuries. The other passengers, who were both in the back seat, suffered injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

A preliminary report issued by the New Braunfels Police Department traffic unit states that drugs, alcohol, and speed could have been contributing factors.

An autopsy will be conducted on Donaldson.
