San Antonio, TX – Evers Rd Collision Ends in Injuries
San Antonio, TX (February 12, 2024) – The San Antonio Police Department confirmed that a motor vehicle accident sent one person to an area hospital with injuries during the early morning hours on Sunday, February 11.
At approximately 3:00 a.m., the San Antonio Police Department was informed of a stolen vehicle. Police located the vehicle and attempted to stop it. As the red 2012 Hyundai Elantra vehicle proceeded through the 5300 block of Evers Road, it collided head-on with a northbound 2023 Audi Q5. The driver of the Audi, a 37-year-old man, was severely injured in the crash. He was transported to a local hospital for emergency care.
Authorities confirmed that the driver of the Hyundai fled the scene of the accident on foot. However, they were later apprehended. The driver, identified only as a juvenile suspect, is currently facing charges of Evading Arrest/Detention on foot, Collision Involving Injury, Evading Arrest/Detention with vehicle, and unauthorized use of a vehicle. The San Antonio Police Department is investigating.
