San Antonio, TX – Fatal Moped vs Vehicle Crash on Wurzbach Pkwy near Lockhill Selma Rd

San Antonio, TX (September 20, 2023) – A man riding a moped on the North Side of San Antonio lost his life in a traffic accident with an SUV on Sunday, September 17. At around 1:30 a.m., the incident was reported to police and paramedics who quickly responded. 

The crash happened near the intersection of Wurzbach Parkway and Lockhill Selma Road. The man, age 59, was pronounced deceased at the crash scene by responding medical professionals. He was riding a red vespa headed east on Wurzbach when he attempted to turn left onto Lockhill Selma. Just then, he was struck by a white Range Rover. 

Police in San Antonio continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash. The roadway was blocked while emergency responders worked to help at the scene, resulting in significant traffic delays.
