San Antonio, TX – Fatal Motorcycle Accident on I-35 Access Rd at Southcross Blvd

San Antonion, TX (January 24, 2022) – On Sunday, January 23rd, a man was killed in a motorcycle accident on the city’s South Side.

According to sources, the fatal accident happened at about 2:05 a.m. at the intersection of Southcross Boulevard and the access road leading to the southbound lanes of Interstate 35. 

An investigation determined that a 30-year-old man on a Suzuki motorcycle was traveling westbound on Southcross Boulevard when a Honda Accord driving southbound on the access road ran a red light, causing the two vehicles to collide. 

The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and sustained critical injuries. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to Brooke Army Medical Center where he later passed away.
