San Antonio, TX – Fatal Two-Car Crash on Farm-to-Market Rd

San Antonio, TX (August 20, 2020) – As stated in a press release issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety, a man was killed in a fatal accident on the morning of Wednesday, August 19th during a two-vehicle collision in Midland County on Farm-to-Market Road 1787, 16 miles south of Odessa. 

According to preliminary reports, at about 6:00 a.m., a Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck being driven by 57-year-old Andrew Ramirez, a resident of Odessa, was traveling eastbound along Farm-to-Market Road at the same time that a tractor-trailer being driven by a 41-year-old man from Crane was heading down the same road in the opposite direction. 

The tractor-trailer, which was towing a semi-trailer at the time of the accident, veered into the eastbound lane and collided with the Chevrolet.

Emergency medical personnel attending the crash site pronounced Ramirez dead at the scene. 

The driver of the tractor-trailer was unharmed during the collision. The police report does not mention whether or not the driver was issued any sort of traffic citation.

As this accident is currently under professional inquiry by local law enforcement officers, the names of those involved have not yet been released.
