San Antonio, TX – Four Hurt after Car Crashes into Ambulance
San Antonio, TX (February 23, 2021) – Four people sustained injuries and required hospitalization after their involvement in an auto accident that took place in San Antonio. According to reports, the wreck happened on Culebra Road in the morning hours of the 21st of February.
Information provided by officials states that an ambulance was traveling along Culebra when a silver sedan, for unknown reasons, collided with the ambulance by turning into it at the intersection with Les Harrison Drive. The sedan struck the emergency truck on the front end of the driver’s side, pushing the ambulance over the median and into a fence on Easterling.
At the time of the collision, an elderly woman was present in the back of the ambulance, being transported to the hospital due to a medical problem. The two paramedics present in the emergency vehicle at the time were injured, as well as a man and a woman in the sedan.
All injured parties were transported to University Hospital for the treatment of injuries they sustained in the crash. Police have stated that they believe that alcohol could have played a part in the wreck.
An investigation into the factors contributing to the injurious incident will be carried out.
