San Antonio, TX – Nina Leyva Killed in Rollover Crash on I-10

San Antonio, TX (January 22, 2021) – One person was killed during a rollover accident at about 3:00 a.m. on Interstate 10 at UTSA Boulevard on the city’s northwest side on Monday, January 18th.

The fatal victim has since been identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office as 21-year-old Nina Leyva. She was pronounced dead about an hour following the accident.

So far, police have been able to work out that Leyva struck a curb, causing her to lose control of her vehicle and roll across multiple lanes, where she was then struck by a tractor-trailer.

The truck operator remained at the scene and contacted the police.  

At this time, it is unknown what caused Leyva to lose control.
