San Antonio, TX – SAPD Investigating Death of Henry Stevenson on I-37 Near Donop Rd

San Antonio, TX (September 05, 2022) – The San Antonio Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle crash on Saturday, September 4th. 

Officials said that the incident occurred at about 3:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 37 in the area of Donop Road when the driver of a Chevrolet Blazer was forced into the grassy median by the driver of a pick-up truck tried to change lanes with the Blazer directly at its side. 

The driver, 59-year-old Henry Stevenson, and a five-year-old boy were thrown from the vehicle during the impact. 

Stevenson was pronounced at the scene by paramedics. 

The 5-year-old boy was transported to an area hospital in non-critical condition.

The driver of the pickup fled the scene and is facing a charge of failure to stop and render aid.
