San Antonio, TX – Serious Traffic Wreck on I-35 at Somerset Road

San Antonio, TX (February 20, 2021) – An auto accident resulted in injuries on an interstate in San Antonio in the early morning hours of February 19. At around 7:45 a.m., authorities and emergency medical personnel were dispatched to the scene of a crash on Interstate 35. 

Sources state that the wreck took place on I-35 near Somerset Road and closed all main lanes of the interstate for several hours. Emergency vehicles including police cruisers, fire trucks, and ambulances were observed at the scene. 

Injured parties were rendered aid at the site of the accident before being taken via ambulance to area hospitals for further evaluation and treatment. Their identities have not been disclosed at this time. 

Road closures were issued on Interstate 35 near Somerset Road while first responders worked at the crash site. Drivers in the area were asked to utilize alternate routes for the time being. 

An investigation into the details of the collision will be carried out by local police.
