San Antonio, TX – Severe Wrong Way Crash Takes One Life on Loop 1604

San Antonio, TX (Sept 2, 2020) – One individual lost their life after their involvement in a wrong-way crash that occurred on a roadway in San Antonio Monday. 

According to local police, the crash occurred in the southbound lanes of Loop 1604 at Highway 90 in the early morning hours of Monday, August 31. The reason the crash occurred remains under investigation by local police at this time. 

A Bexar County Sheriff’s Office representative stated that a vehicle was headed the wrong way on Loop 1604 at approximately 6:00 a.m. and as a result crashed head-on with a dump truck. 

Due to the collision, the unidentified vehicle burst into flames, taking the life of the one individual inside at the time of the crash. That person has yet to be publicly identified due to the contributing factors and details of the accident still being under investigation. 

At this time, the conditions of the driver and passenger in the dump truck are unknown.

The dump truck incurred severe front end damages in the wreck. 

No further information has been disclosed concerning the circumstances of the crash. 

An investigation will be carried out by local police.
