San Antonio, TX – Three Hospitalized After Head-On Collision at San Pedro Ave and Audobon St

San Antonio, TX (February 07, 2022) – A wrong-way driver caused a head-on collision that left three people, including a child, hospitalized on Monday, February 7th in San Antonio.  

At about 11:30 p.m., the San Antonio Fire Department and the San Antonio Police Department responded to the scene at the intersection of Audobon Street and San Pedro Avenue.

According to sources, the driver of a Ford F-150 was driving in the wrong direction on San Pedro Avenue. The driver of an oncoming vehicle swerved to avoid a crash, but the F-150 struck the car, causing the driver to be ejected. 

The driver of the F-150 kept going and crashed into a building on the corner.

He was taken to University Hospital in critical condition as well as a woman and child from the other vehicle.

No other injuries were reported and officials are investigating whether intoxication played a part in the accident.
