San Antonio, TX – Truck Struck by Semi Sends One to Hospital

San Antonio, TX (October 25, 2020) – This past Saturday morning, a traffic accident occurred on a roadway in San Antonio that sent one man to the hospital.

According to authorities, the wreck took place at approximately 4:40 a.m. in the 28200 block of US Highway 281 between an 18-wheeler and a pickup truck. The contributing factors of the collision are currently being investigated by the police. 

Paramedics were called to the scene of the wreck in order to render aid to those injured. Upon their arrival at the crash site, they discovered that the driver of the pickup truck was in need of immediate medical attention and transportation to an area trauma unit. 

The crash victim has not been identified at this time, nor has anyone else involved in the wreck. The male driver of the pickup suffered injuries of a life-threatening nature.

Witnesses in the area stated that the pickup truck struck a large water barrel before spinning out and then was struck by a big-rig carrying tens of thousands of pounds of fuel.

The area of Highway 281 was closed down for a period of time following in order to allow first responders to work safely at the accident scene. 

No further information has been provided to the public at this time.
