Car Accidents in Southern Texas
Statistics concerning auto accidents in the United States estimate that only about two percent of the traffic accidents that take place between vehicles in the US are head-on collisions. However, head-on crashes account for approximately 10% of the national accident fatality rate. Statistics also state that head-on collisions are usually caused by driver negligence. Some forms of driver negligence include speeding, distraction, and intoxication.
Texas, being one of the most populated states in the nation, sees more injurious traffic accidents occur annually than almost any other state. Texas traffic accidents cause tens of thousands of injuries every single year and occur numerous times every single day. Recent statistical traffic studies state that approximately 17,500 individuals suffer injuries due to about 15,000 Texas traffic accidents that take place annually. These injuries can force a person out of work for a prolonged period of time, which can cause extensive financial burdening on an injured accident victim and their family.
Being involved and injured in a South Texas auto accident can mean seriously painful and debilitating injuries as well as acute financial burdening and stress. The stress can be exacerbated when you are under the impression that your injuries were caused by the negligence of someone else on the road.
You could qualify for financial compensation in the event that you or a loved one have sustained injuries in a traffic accident caused by another person’s negligence.
