San Antonio, TX – Two Children Hurt Following Loop 410 Crash
San Antonio, TX (May 8, 2024) – The San Antonio Police Department and firefighters were requested at the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on the Northwest Side of San Antonio on Monday evening, May 6. The collision was reported to law enforcement just before 10:00 p.m.
According to law enforcement reports, a Toyota Corolla was traveling westbound on the Loop 410 access road. At the same time, a 2002 Ford Thunderbird was traveling through the area at a high rate of speed. The driver disregarded the speed limit and failed to properly change lanes. As a result, the Thunderbird crashed into the rear of the Toyota Corolla while coming down from a Hillcrest on the access road. Two children in the Toyota were injured. The victims, ages 10 and 2, were transported by ambulance to area hospitals for emergency care. The driver of the Thunderbird, identified as 20-year-old Roman Olivera, was taken into police custody on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. At this time, the San Antonio Police Department is investigating.
