San Antonio, TX – Two Children Hurt in Austin Hwy Crash at Walzem Rd
San Antonio, TX (December 13, 2023) – Two children were transported to area hospitals with injuries following a car crash that occurred on Tuesday evening in the San Antonio area. The accident was reported to the San Antonio Police Department and local firefighters at around 5:00 p.m. on December 12.
According to SAPD reports, a major motor vehicle collision involving four vehicles occurred on Austin Highway in the area of Walzem Road. The crash blocked several lanes of the roadway, prompting officials to shut down the intersection as they worked to remove the involved vehicles.
A total of seven people were involved in the accident. Emergency medical services responded to the crash site to provide care for the injured victims. The injured parties were transported to area hospitals for emergency medical care. Emergency crews confirmed that two children were hospitalized as a result of this collision. At this time, investigations are ongoing by the San Antonio Police Department.
