Sinton, TX – Noah Calderon Loses Life in Fatal Traffic Crash on Hwy 188

Sinton, TX (August 14, 2020) – A Bexar County Sheriff’s Office deputy has lost his life after a fatal traffic accident on a highway near Sinton. 

Noah Calderon, a 20-year-old Bexar County Sheriff’s Office deputy, and his fiance, who remains unidentified at this time, lost their lives in a fatal accident on Highway 188 and Farm-to-Market 796 this past Wednesday near Sinton.

According to police reports concerning the nature of the crash, a tanker truck ran a stop sign and crashed into Calderon’s vehicle. 

Calderon was pronounced deceased by medical professionals at the accident site a short time later, and his younger brother, a 13-year-old male, required transportation by helicopter to University Hospital in San Antonio for the treatment of life-threatening injuries. 

The minor’s current health condition has not been updated as of yet. 

No further information is available at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the circumstances of the crash is underway by local law enforcement officials.
