The crash was reported to the San Antonio Police Department and the San Antonio Fire Department at around 8:30 p.m.
According to local news sources, a male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on South Laredo Street under the bridge of Interstate 35.
Another vehicle was traveling through the area when the driver noticed the man on the side of the roadway. The driver stopped under the bridge and called local law enforcement for emergency assistance.
The man suffered severe trauma to the head and was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding officers.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without stopping.
At this time, the crash is being investigated by the San Antonio Police Department.
