The accident took place at about 1:30 a.m. on West Woodlawn Avenue in the area of Blanco Road.
Bystanders told officers that the pick-up’s driver was speeding when he lost control, struck a curb, went airborne, and then flipped.
At the time of the accident, three males between the ages of 18-25 were in the truck. One died at the scene. The remaining two were transferred to an area hospital in critical condition.
The driver was booked by proxy for aggravated assault and manslaughter.
