San Antonio, TX (February 11, 2024) – A street racing incident on San Antonio’s North Side led to a multi-vehicle collision that left three people injured late Sunday night.
According to reports, the crash occurred just before 10 p.m. on February 11 in the 7000 block of San Pedro Avenue. Authorities say a 24-year-old driver was racing another vehicle when he attempted to avoid a car in the center turn lane. In doing so, he crashed into that vehicle before careening into oncoming traffic, where he collided with another car.
A woman who was a passenger in one of the racing vehicles sustained a broken leg and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Additionally, a couple in one of the vehicles not involved in the race suffered injuries and were also hospitalized. Their injuries were reported as non-life-threatening. Officials have not yet confirmed if charges will be filed against the driver responsible. The crash remains under police investigation.
We hope those injured in this accident recover quickly.
